Paper Recycling

Paper recycling is not a new concept but is not used as frequently as it should.  As businesses and individuals became more informed about recycling, it is starting to be seen on a more widespread basis.  Paper recycling can help to save consumers and manufacturers money.  It is also environmentally friendly.

There are many different types of papers that can be recycled.  Office paper waste is one of the most commonly recycled kinds of paper.  Paper from magazines, newspapers and other sources can be recycled as well.  Paper that is virgin white is most always able to be recycled.  There are paper products of other colors and textures that cannot be recycled.

When people think of paper recycling, they think of paper that people discard being recycled and made into new paper.  This is one aspect of paper recycling, however there are a couple others.  When a paper manufacturer produces paper, there is always some waste.  There are scraps and excess materials that are not able to be used to make new paper.  These materials can also be recycled.  The same is true of paper sources that are manufactured but due to defects or other factors are never put into circulation for use by consumers.

Even paper that has ink already printed on it can be recycled.  There are ways to remove the print (such as print on a newspaper) and then to reuse it.  Individuals and businesses can even send newspapers and magazines to be recycled.

When paper is recycled it can help to reduce the number of trees that must be cut down to make paper products.  It generally takes less energy, natural resources and less pollution to produce paper from recycled products than to manufacturer completely new pieces of paper.  Manufacturers and even consumers can find financial benefits to paper recycling.
